Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the overall release strategy for AI products, with a strong emphasis on automation, reliability, and scalability.
- Build and maintain frictionless release systems that reduce manual handoffs and enable frequent, secure deployments.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, QA, and MLOps to align release plans with product goals and development timelines.
- Establish and enforce governance processes, including quality gates, approval workflows, and compliance checks.
- Manage a centralized release calendar, ensuring smooth planning, coordination, and execution across all teams.
- Proactively identify release bottlenecks and implement solutions to optimize the end-to-end release lifecycle.
- Lead release readiness assessments, go/no-go reviews, and post-release retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
- Track and report on key release health metrics such as lead time, deployment frequency, failure rate, and rollback incidents.
- Champion best practices in release engineering, automation-first approaches, and continuous delivery principles.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Release Management within a technology-driven or product-based organization.
- Proven track record of managing full release cycles for complex digital products ideally within AI, data, or platform ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working with cross-functional Agile teams.
- Demonstrated ability to scale release operations through automation and process improvement.
- Hands-on experience managing release calendars, workflows, approvals, and stakeholder communications in dynamic environments.
- Familiarity with AI/ML development workflows (e.g., model versioning, testing, deployment) is a plus though deep technical knowledge of ML is not mandatory.
- Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar project and release management platforms.
- Exceptional communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.Role & responsibilities
