Job Description
- You will play a key role in building Python-based automation frameworks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior testers to drive continuous quality. You will design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans for web, mobile, and API applications. Additionally, you will build and maintain automation frameworks using Python, Selenium, and Pytest. Collaboration with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to define testing scope and coverage will also be part of your responsibilities. You will conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing and manage defects throughout the lifecycle using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla. Ensuring seamless test integration into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and related tools will also be a critical aspect of your role. Documenting and maintaining high-quality QA artifacts including test cases, test reports, and user stories will also fall under your purview. Furthermore, you will act as a quality advocate and mentor within the QA team, sharing best practices and technical expertise. To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field along with 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with expertise in both manual and automation testing. Strong hands-on experience in Python for automation testing is essential. Proficiency in tools such as Selenium, Pytest, Jenkins, Git, and test management platforms is required. Excellent knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and defect lifecycle management is also necessary. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail are crucial attributes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team are also key requirements. Your skills should include Manual Testing (Web, API, Mobile), Test Automation with Python (Selenium, Pytest), Bug Tracking & Defect Management (JIRA, Bugzilla), Test Planning & Execution, experience in Agile/Scrum Environments, CI/CD Integration (Jenkins, GitLab), as well as Code Reviews & QA Documentation.,
