About the Role
We are looking for a meticulous and proactive QA Engineer to join our MarTech Data & Analytics team. This role focuses on ensuring quality, accuracy, and performance across consumer data pipelines, segmentation logic, analytics dashboards, and marketing systems integrations.
Youll work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and Martech platform leads (including BlueConic, Klaviyo, Salesforce, ThoughtSpot, and Shopify). The ideal candidate will bring a blend of data QA, API testing, and automation skills to ensure that high-impact insights and campaigns are powered by trusted, validated data.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy of critical metrics used in executive dashboards, campaigns, and targeting models.
- Validate data quality across platforms such as Google BigQuery (GBQ), BlueConic, Klaviyo, Shopify, and Salesforce.
- Create reusable test plans for dashboards and data visualizations (ThoughtSpot, CRM Analytics).
- Design and execute manual and automated test cases for data pipelines, APIs, and customer segmentation logic.
- Test ETL/ELT jobs, API-based data integrations, and marketing automation triggers.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and platform owners to resolve data quality issues.
- Document test cases, test results, and QA sign-off for deployments.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Contribute to improving data QA standards, test automation coverage, and validation frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- 25 years of hands-on QA experience in data, analytics, or MarTech environments.
- Strong experience validating datasets in SQL/GBQ, and testing REST APIs.
- Familiarity with marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Salesforce, BlueConic, Shopify, Salesforce).
- Understanding of data warehousing and analytics workflows.
- Experience using test management and bug tracking tools like JIRA, Zephyr, or TestRail.
- Solid grasp of QA methodologies, including regression, functional, and smoke testing.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with MarTech data stacks (event tracking, CDP, campaign systems)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of privacy and compliance considerations in consumer data (GDPR/CCPA).
- Exposure to testing BI tools like ThoughtSpot, Looker, or Tableau.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks (e.g., Postman, Pytest, or SmartBear tools).
