Software Engineering Specialist @ BT Group

What Ill be doing your accountabilities:

• Experience in Telecommunications Networks (Fixed, Mobile and Transmission), mainly OSS.
• Develop software and technical solution for the Service Assurance Area in the following domain:

Fault Management
Performance Management

• Developing solutions across hybrid application landscape, consisting of legacy applications built using both COTS and homegrown applications.Installation and management of Network Monitoring Systems
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and possess good problem-solving skills.
• Deliver solutions using Agile methodologies.
• Ability to do deep dive on technical areas and get the best outcome out of technically challenging situations.
• Manage concurrent application releases and deliver quality software releases on time.
• Drive strong engineering practices in the team.
• Ability to debug complex issues and provide the right solution.

Preferable

• have Stakeholder Management and Change Management skills

• Technical Expertise: Be a subject expert and drive shared learning and collaboration.
• Strategic / Enterprise Perspective: Able to create and articulate a compelling holistic strategic vision and roadmap to both colleagues and external contractors. This may require an ability to articulate complex information to colleagues working outside the technical space.
• Mandatory Skill set :- Telecom(OSS), NMS, Java Microservices, Java (Open JDK11), Python, Shell Scripting, REST based MicroServices, Spring Boot, SQL/NoSQL Database, Kafka, WebLogic, Swagger and basic of K8s, Configure dashboard reports using Grafana and ELK.
• Process design & documentation: The ability to describe, map and document down to the procedural detail complete processes on a structured way. The ability to organise and structure the process flow in synchronisation with the exchanges with other processes.
