About The Role
  Software Deployment Engineer  Department:   Information Technology  Reports To   IT Project Manager Critical features of this job are described under the headings below. They may be subject to change at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons. Job Summary A Software Deployment Engineer is responsible for managing the deployment lifecycle of software applications. This role involves collaborating with development teams to plan deployment strategies and timelines, ensuring smooth and efficient software releases. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Deployment PlanningCollaborate with development teams to plan deployment strategies and timelines.

System MonitoringPerform system monitoring and troubleshoot issues as needed.

Deployment ExecutionDeploy and maintain software applications and infrastructure across multiple environments.

AutomationCreate and maintain deployment scripts to automate the deployment process.

Testing and ValidationConduct testing and validation of deployed applications to ensure they meet quality standards.

DocumentationDocument deployment processes and procedures for internal and external use.

SupportProvide support to development teams in release management activities.

Policy AdherenceEnsure adherence to deployment policies and procedures.

TrainingDeliver informal and formal training to designated customer staff.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Experience Experience with deployment tools such as Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, or Azure DevOps. Skills Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash, strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies, familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, excellent troubleshooting skills, and strong communication and collaboration skills. Desired
