Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Manager to execute the Digital & Analytics roadmap focused on Smart Manufacturing initiatives.
- Provide program support including project tracking, budgeting, and benefit realization aligned with the overall digital strategy.
- Identify, conceptualize, and execute digital transformation opportunities across manufacturing operations using technologies like IoT, cloud, analytics, and AI/ML.
- Work with plant teams, functional SMEs, and support staff to translate business challenges into digital use cases.
- Liaise with external vendors and partners to ensure timely delivery and support for analytics and digital projects.
- Stay current with digital trends, tools, and technologies relevant to manufacturing and operations.
- Foster a culture of innovation and digital thinking across teams.
Support data-driven decision-making by transforming proof-of-concept models into scalable solutions.
Functional Competencies:
- 35 years of experience in Smart Manufacturing / Industry 4.0 in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of operational technologies (OT) including DCS, PLC, sensors, communication protocols, and IT-OT integration.
- Exposure to industrial IoT platforms, data historians, MES systems, and real-time data acquisition.
- Experience with cloud or hybrid cloud analytics platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Basic understanding of analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.
- Familiarity with programming/scripting tools (Python, SQL), big data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop), and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Ability to work in agile, iterative environments and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data.
- Capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:
B.E. / M.E. in Instrumentation, Chemical, Process, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or Operations.
Candidates with relevant postgraduate certifications will be preferred.
