 Instructional Designer

Job Description

Role:

You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of eLearning programs. You will work closely with other SME's, providing design input and feedback as needed throughout the eLearning development cycle. You will be responsible for the final build of the eLearning course, ensuring that all content, course assets and activities all work seamlessly to provide the learner with a positive learning experience. You will ensure that the content follows the storyboard guidelines and support the learners experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain training content for audiences in the telecommunication industry
  • Create content in multiple formats including videos, animations, storyboards, scripts, eLearning modules, instructor-led trainings/workshops, and job aids
  • Design and edit visual assets, templates, and other material for utilization in training content
  • Work cross-functionally with subject matter experts to determine project requirements
  • Prioritize and manage simultaneous projects to completion and meet desired milestones
  • Collaborate in peer reviews with other instructional designers
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with focus in Instructional Design, Education, or a related technical field
  • At least 3-5 years experience in instructional design and content development of online learning, classroom, and virtual training assets
  • Experience with Articulate 360 Storyline and/or other eLearning programs required
  • Experience with current eLearning models, research theories, technologies, and innovations in the field of learning
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodology
    Proficient in designing and developing technical learning materials
  • Experience working with SCORM and learning management systems
  • Ability to create engaging animation and video course content
  • Familiarity with HTML, Javascript, or other related languages
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
