Job Description
- As a Big Data Engineer (Fresher) with 01 year of experience in Chandigarh, you will collaborate closely with experienced team members to contribute to the design, construction, and maintenance of high-performance data solutions. Your primary role will involve aiding in the development of scalable pipelines, Spark-based processing jobs, and RESTful services supporting data-driven products. This position offers a hands-on learning experience where you will receive mentorship and exposure to real-world Big Data technologies, DevOps practices, and collaborative agile teams. Your key responsibilities will encompass assisting in the design and implementation of data pipelines and streaming applications, acquiring proficiency in working with distributed systems and Big Data frameworks, supporting senior engineers in coding and testing data processing, engaging in code reviews, team interactions, and product planning sessions, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers and QA. Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Sound understanding of core programming concepts, with a preference for Java, Python, or Scala. - Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases. - Basic knowledge of Big Data tools like Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka, with academic or project exposure deemed acceptable. - Exposure to Linux/Unix environments. - Awareness of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, along with DevOps tools like Git. - Eagerness to explore cloud platforms like AWS or GCP, with certifications considered a plus. - Willingness to delve into system security aspects like Kerberos, TLS, etc. Nice to Have (Not Mandatory): - Previous internships, academic projects, or certifications related to Big Data. - Contributions to open-source or personal GitHub projects. - Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD tools.
