DGM- Design & Engineering Artillery @ AK Enterprises

Job Description

You will be responsible for leading a team of mechanical engineers in the Design & Engineering function. Your primary focus will involve designing and engineering Defence equipment for the Artillery system. This includes system engineering, layout design, and conceptualizing the design and engineering of mechanical subsystems from scratch. Your duties will also encompass the design of structures, selection of mechanical components, and knowledge in manufacturing processes such as Casting, Forging, Fabrication, and Machining. You will be expected to generate specifications for Bought out items and create detailed drawings with accurate dimensioning using GD&T. Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as UGNx, SolidWorks, and PLM software is essential for this role. You will provide support to the Manufacturing and execution team at the Assembly shop and vendor facilities. Additionally, you will assist the Documentation team in creating various documents for customer submission. Having knowledge in Finite Element Method (FEM) and Analysis software will be considered an added advantage for this position. Your experience and expertise in commercial design and fixers will be crucial in successfully carrying out your responsibilities. A minimum qualification of a Degree in Mechanical/Marine Engineering is required, along with 12-20 years of relevant experience in the field.,
