Role & responsibilities
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Test Architect / Test Manager / Test Lead to lead quality engineering initiatives across large-scale enterprise systems. This role demands a unique blend of hands-on automation expertise, leadership in test strategy formulation, and applied experience in Generative AI for testing. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of automation frameworks, modern testing practices, and the ability to scale quality engineering efforts across complex, distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Strategy & Architecture:
- Define, implement, and oversee enterprise-wide test strategies, aligning with business and technical objectives.
- Design scalable test architectures supporting end-to-end automation, performance testing, and AI-assisted quality solutions.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to identify testing needs and quality KPIs.
- Automation Testing:
- Lead the implementation of modern test automation frameworks across web, API, mobile, and cloud platforms.
- Drive shift-left testing practices, CI/CD pipeline integration, and test coverage metrics.
- Mentor teams in developing robust test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, or equivalent.
- Gen AI & Innovation:
- Integrate Generative AI solutions to enhance test data generation, test case creation, defect prediction, and overall quality intelligence.
- Evaluate and implement AI-based testing tools (e.g., Testim, Functionize, Mabl, GitHub Copilot, or custom LLM-based tools).
- Champion innovation in quality engineering through AI/ML-driven approaches.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Lead cross-functional QA teams (onsite/offshore) in agile, DevOps, or scaled agile environments.
- Manage and forecast QA resourcing, planning, budgeting, and risk assessment.
- Collaborate with product owners, engineering, DevOps, and customer success teams to ensure quality is embedded at every stage.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in QA/testing roles, with at least 4+ years in test strategy or architecture leadership.
- Proven experience with enterprise-scale automation testing frameworks and tools.
- Strong knowledge of Gen AI technologies and hands-on experience applying them in the QA lifecycle.
- Proficiency in modern programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Deep understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in leading QA across large enterprise platforms or transformation projects.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in ISTQB Advanced, TOGAF, or AI/ML (e.g., Coursera/Google/IBM).
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, telecom) with compliance-driven testing.
- Familiarity with observability tools and test analytics (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic Stack).
