Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Airline IT projects and programs ensuring they meet scope, schedule, quality, and budget.
Define project scope, milestones, and resource allocation in coordination with client and internal teams.
Manage risks, issues, and dependencies proactively to minimize delivery impact.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Act as the primary technical liaison between client stakeholders, internal technical teams, and business units.
Facilitate clear communication, expectation management, and alignment across all project participants.
Drive regular status updates, steering committee meetings, and project review sessions.
Technical Leadership:
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development, QA, and operations teams.
Ensure adherence to best practices, quality standards, and compliance with airline industry regulations.
Evaluate and implement technology solutions that enhance project outcomes.
Domain Expertise:
Leverage deep understanding of airline operations such as reservation systems, departure control systems, loyalty programs, flight operations, baggage handling, or revenue management.
Translate airline business requirements into technical solutions.
Stay updated with latest airline industry trends and IT innovations to advise clients effectively.
Team & Vendor Management:
Coordinate internal teams (developers, testers, analysts) and third-party vendors to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
Manage resource utilization and team performance aligned with project goals.
Preferred candidate profile
Bachelors or Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience (7+ years) in technical delivery or project management roles in Airline IT or Aviation domain.
Strong understanding of airline industry business processes and IT systems (e.g., PSS, GDS, DCS, loyalty platforms).
Experience managing large-scale IT projects/programs using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
Excellent client-facing skills and ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
Familiarity with airline compliance standards and regulatory requirements.
PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with airline IT software vendors (Amadeus, Sabre, SITA, etc.).
Knowledge of cloud platforms, integration technologies, and API management relevant to airline IT.
Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities.
Ability to foster collaboration in cross-functional and cross-geographical teams.
