Job Description

we're seeking a dynamic Director of Technical Services to lead and scale our end-to-end delivery operations for game production. Additionally, you should be capable of directing technical services for software projects, products, or platforms outside the games industry, as required. In this strategic role, you will own technical strategy, client facing delivery, and team development ensuring that our AAA, mobile, and casual game initiatives, meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and innovation. Experience on console game development is a plus. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and global clients game designers, artists, producers, engineers to ensure our platforms and services enable exceptional player experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define and drive a unified technology roadmap spanning game engines (Unity, Unreal) and enterprise platforms (Java, .NET, Python).
  • Align all technical services with business objectives and client success metrics.

2. Service Delivery & Operations

  • Oversee full life cycle delivery for game development (Live ops, DevOps, backend services) and IT/ enterprise applications (SaaS, Integration projects).
  • Maintain and exceed SLAs and KPIs through best-in-class incident, change, and problem management processes.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring for both game builds and enterprise deployments.

3. Team Leadership & Growth

  • Lead, mentor, and scale high performing, cross disciplinary teams of engineers, DevOps specialists, tools developers, and software architects.
  • Establish clear performance metrics, career paths, and a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
  • Partner with HR on talent acquisition, workforce planning, and ongoing professional development.

4. Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the senior technical liaison for key clients conduct solution briefings, QBRs, and escalations across gaming and IT portfolios.
  • Work closely with Sales, Product, Art, QA, and Business Development teams to craft proposals and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into business value and ROI for internal and external stakeholders.

5. Operational Excellence & Governance

  • Own service health dashboards, operational reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives for both game and software services.
  • Standardize documentation, runbooks, and support models to ensure consistent, repeatable delivery.
  • Drive automation in code reviews, build processes, and deployment workflows to reduce manual effort and accelerate time to market.

6. Security, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Enforce compliance with industry standards (ISO, SOC2, GDPR) across gaming back ends and enterprise systems.
  • Identify and mitigate technical and security risks for example, in multiplayer game environments or sensitive data flows.
  • Collaborate with InfoSec, Legal, and Privacy teams to align policies and incident response processes

Required Qualifications :

  • Experience: 15+ years in technical delivery leadership, with at least 5 years managing both game development and enterprise IT/Software projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Handson mastery of any gaming platforms and software technologies ie Unity/Unreal Engine, C++/C#, Java/Python.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Cloud ieAWS/Azure/GCP, databases (MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra)
  • Leadership: Proven track record of scaling global, multi time zone engineering teams and driving P&L for service delivery operations.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills, able to engage C suite clients and translate between technical and business stakeholders.
  • Agile Mindset: Comfortable with fast paced, agile environments and shifting priorities in both gaming and enterprise contexts.
  • Education: bachelors or masters in computer science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
