Job Description
- As a Coal Handling Plant Operator at Grasim Cellulosic Division (GCD), your primary responsibility is to maintain and operate the Coal Handling Plant in alignment with the operational requirements of the Power Plant. You will play a crucial role in managing the incoming coal and ensuring the systematic disposal of fly ash. Working within the vibrant environment of Grasim Cellulosic Division (GCD), located near Vilayat village of Bharuch Dist., Gujarat, you will be part of a state-of-the-art facility equipped with cutting-edge technology. The plant aims to solidify the global leadership position of the Aditya Birla Group in the man-made cellulosic fibres sector by offering a wide range of standard fibres as well as high-end speciality fibres. Your role will involve maintaining the quality and quantity of coal supply to the bunker to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the boiler. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing coal receipt, storage, and the safe disposal of fly ash. You will need to explore new developments with the help of OEM and other group units to reduce maintenance costs in the Coal Handling Plant (CHP) and Electrostatic precipitator (ESP). Key Result Areas: 1. Quality Management: - Maintain coal size less than 8mm to prevent choking of CTR lines. - Ensure moisture content in crushed coal is less than 10% to avoid choking of CTR lines. - Maintain Stack SPM within specified norms. - Plan, organize, and implement operation and maintenance plans in CHP for continuous steam generation in the power plant. 2. Productivity Enhancement: - Improve productivity of Man, Machine & Method. - Ensure optimal operating conditions of auto sprinkler systems. - Identify and eliminate problems at the root level to ensure continuous coal supply. - Conduct life cycle cost analysis for spares & equipment and ensure timely replacement. - Minimize feeding time through new schemes and maintenance adherence. - Increase manpower productivity by reducing spillage and losses with the use of PS tools. 3. Cost Management: - Plan and manage key cost areas in line with the department's maintenance budget. - Optimize coal blending from different sources to reduce costs and maintain ash color and quality for disposal. - Execute CHP activities within budgeted costs to maintain financial controls. In this role, you will contribute significantly to the efficient and effective operation of the Coal Handling Plant, ensuring the smooth functioning of the Power Plant operations at Grasim Cellulosic Division.,
