Job Description
- As a Software Developer (Laravel/PHP) based in Mumbai, you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, define scope, and determine best practices for software development. Your role will involve designing, developing, testing, and deploying robust, scalable, and secure web applications using PHP and related frameworks. You will write "clean", well-designed, and maintainable code following industry best practices, as well as solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges within existing and new systems. Your contribution to all phases of the development lifecycle, from initial concept to deployment and ongoing support, will be crucial. Ensuring the responsiveness and efficiency of applications and participating in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge within the team will also be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you must have a minimum of 1-3 years of hands-on experience in web application development, and proficiency in PHP programming. Knowledge of PHP web frameworks, particularly Laravel, is highly preferred, while experience with CodeIgniter is considered a plus. A strong understanding of front-end technologies including JavaScript and AJAX, solid grasp of object-oriented PHP programming principles, and previous experience creating scalable and high-performance applications are essential. Additionally, familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git (preferred), Mercurial, CVS, or SVN, and exposure to SQL Databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) will be beneficial. Strong technical aptitude, good logical and analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail are soft skills that will contribute to your success in this role. Your ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, along with good communication skills, both written and verbal, will be valuable assets.
