Job Title: SAP FICO Senior/Principal Consultant
Location: Mohali, Chandigarh, India

We have implemented a Shared Services Center in Mohali, India to support Global Operations in areas of Finance & Accounting, Trade Operations, Treasury and IT Support and other back office support Services.
Scope of this position: The role requires Individual contributor Senior SAP applications expert skilled in the functionality and configuration of SAP FICO to lead the development, continuous improvement initiatives and provide regional support integrating supply chain business processes and inventory management.
Primary Responsibilities: - Individual contributor role as SAP FICO subject matter expert and architect
- Spearhead SAP solution design supporting the FICO process across various product lines and business models.
- Lead requirement gathering facilitated sessions for "as-is" process mapping and "to-be" process design in continuous improvement initiatives
- Responsible as SAP Finance track architect/SME within the SAP team to support currently implemented SAP solutions which also includes SAP GTM (Global Trade Management), "Order to Cash processes" and "Procure to Pay and Manufacturing Operations".
- Assist in the evaluation, definition and approval of SAP modifications and enhancements in FICO and related areas
- Provide techno-functional support to implemented systems and users in the above areas either locally or remotely in a regional support role
- Responsible to close out defects on solutions designed including analysis, design and documentation of the functional design specifications, test plans and scenarios and coordination of the resolution till defects are closed
- Support in testing and implementation of new SAP enhancements, upgrades/releases etc.
- Maintain SAP FICO configuration and configuration change documentation
- Support and enable junior SAP FICO resources within the SAP team to perform the above-mentioned support/project activities
- Provide end-user training including creation/maintenance of training material, conducting training sessions
- Assist with SAP Rollout thru Europe & APAC region (as/when needed)
- Identify improvement opportunities in SAP/related business applications and impacted business processes
- Assist in the implementation of related Business Applications from SAP SME perspective
- Provide support for SAP integration to other business applications, web/mobility solutions etc.
Required Candidate profile
Required: - 5-8 years or more of R/3 experience with a minimum of 3 full-life cycle implementation experience as an SAP FICO expert with configuration experience for large organizations
- At least 5 years of experience as an SME/solution lead in SAP FICO space in implementation/support activities and in managing team
- Strong knowledge and experience in the design, configuration and testing of core FI (e.g. GL, AP, AR, GL, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Consolidation, Special Purpose Ledger etc.) and CO (e.g. Cost Element Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Cost Controlling, Profitability Analysis etc.) concepts
- Proficient in preparation of Financial Statements and has good understanding of GAAP
- Solid grasp of FICO integrations with other modules (i.e. SD, MM, PP, etc.)
- SAP techno-functional experience and willingness to perform technical solution analysis is required
- Possesses good grasp of ABAP debugging skills
- Experience with data migration of FICO objects is preferred
- At least 5 years of experience with ECC 6.0
- Must be able to scope, review, and create BPDs (Business Process & Requirements Documents), FDS (functional design specifications), RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows), testing documents etc.
- Comfortable in defending SAP solutions with peers forming an SAP governance council
- Experience in rolling out global SAP template through Europe & Asia Pacific is required

- Prefer someone who has performed in a senior role a "go-to" person that has the experience to solve tough problems
- Ability to express complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to the business
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where the focus is on continuous improvement and the challenge to make it better.
- Must be willing to travel throughout Europe & APAC (frequency is low)
Nice to have: - Experience with Bank Accounting, House Bank Setup, DME, Payment Run, Payment Method and related enhancement areas for Outgoing Payments and Receivables is required
- Experience with FSCM Credit Management and Treasury is preferred
- Experience of FICO integrations with other non-SAP financial solutions is preferred
- Experience with Hanse Orga is preferred
