Job Description
Work closely with user experience (UX) designers and other design specialists. Ensure a consistent and effective user experience (UX) within projects. Make sure that every page and every step a user will experience in their interaction with the finished product will conform to the overall vision created by UX designers. Support cross-functional business and technology teams and key stakeholders to transform business and user requirements in to highly effective and usable software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage the design of user interfaces during the implementation phase of the project, including the development of wireframes, mock-ups and other project deliverables to illustrate the intended user experience.
- Assembling, modifying, extending design component library, consult with designers on their design pattern library needs and guide their decision making.
- Designing every individual screen the user might interact with, making decisions about which layout and visual design elements will help create the most intuitive-possible user experience.
- Design interactive user interfaces and ensuring that a layout will work well across a range of different screen sizes.
- Present design ideas, including rationale based on research and best practices, to the product development team and other key stakeholders.
- Participate in peer design reviews/critique, giving and receiving constructive feedback.
Required Qualifications
- Fulltime Bachelors degree or equivalent required.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience required
- Experience using design tokens, components, patterns, etc.
- Strong understanding of usability, heuristics and design fundamentals such as colour theory, composition, branding, typography and web design standards.
- Adhering to style guide standards
- Working knowledge of the ideation and creation of UI design deliverables: Sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, lo-fi and hi-fi layouts, prototypes, etc
- Experience working with industry standard visualization tools and software (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Invision, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to clearly articulate creative concepts and rationale.
- Ability to work in agile project processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in presenting and defending designs with stakeholders.
- 7+ years of broad experience of designing highly complex web sites and software applications from a UX standpoint.
- Ability to interpret product requirements documents from a UX/UCD perspective.
- Experience designing transactional or complex interactions with consumer and/or B2B platforms.
- Exposure to designing for Content Management Systems (for Client facing) Bloomreach & understand its constraints

- Demonstrated ability to raise issues and concerns and see them through to completion
