Job Description
The role involves maintaining cloud infrastructure, troubleshooting system and network issues, managing backups and disaster recovery, and ensuring security and performance across hybrid environments. Provide technical support for Linux/Windows servers and cloud platforms including AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), ensuring high performance, reliability, and security across all systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and OCI.
- Manage AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC, Route 53, WAF, etc.
- Manage OCI services: Compute instances, Object Storage, VCN, Load Balancer, VPN, and Identity Domains.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud service performance issues and cost spikes.
- Implement and manage cloud security configurations including WAF, Security Lists, NSGs, IAM Policies, etc.
- Automate backups, patching, and infrastructure tasks using scripts or tools.
- Perform cost optimization, tagging, and budget tracking across cloud accounts.
- Provide support for hybrid connectivity (e.g., Site-to-Site VPN)
- Database management
- Provide L2/L3 support for Linux (CentOS/Ubuntu/RHEL) and Windows Server (2016/2019/2022).
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as patching, monitoring, disk space and CPU/memory checks.
- Troubleshoot OS, hardware, and application-level issues on virtual servers.
- Implement server hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance best practices.
- Maintain and monitor server logs and system health dashboards.
- Manage DNS and certificate renewals (Let's Encrypt / AWS ACM / OCI Certificates).
- Manage and monitor backup jobs
- Perform DR drills and implement high-availability and failover strategies.
- Maintain documentation for DR plans and conduct regular recovery testing.
- Implement alerting and escalation processes for server/cloud incidents.
- Work with internal team for deployments and incident resolution.
- Participate in change management and review processes.
- Maintain SOPs and detailed technical documentation for all support processes.
- Support IT audits and compliance requirements (ISO, SOC, etc.).
- Perform AWS/OCI Well-Architected Reviews and recommend improvements.
