Project Planners
Responsibilities Project & Resource Planner
- Lead the end-to-end planning and scheduling of project activities using tools like JIRA and SAP, ensuring accurate and timely updates across multiple sub-modules.
- Oversee resource allocation by balancing workloads, confirming availability, and ensuring optimal utilization across projects and teams.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Program Managers, and Resource Managers to align project timelines, manage dependencies, and support milestone tracking.
- Maintain transparency and consistency by updating internal planning sheets, driving planning meetings, and ensuring plan adherence across involved teams.
- Support monthly estimations and actuals, aligning effort forecasting with cost and demand planning.
- Monitor and resolve potential resource or timeline conflicts by proactively identifying risks and proposing mitigation plans.
- Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, contributing to governance initiatives and tool enhancements.
- Support the coordination and confirmation of demand creation and updates in SAP in line with booking strategies.
Competencies
- Effective communication skills: Able to gather input from stakeholders, provide clarity on planning decisions, and offer end-user support and training. Proficient in both verbal and written communication in English.
- Strong coordination skills: Adept at working with cross-functional teams including Project Manager, Resource Manager, Team Leads, and finance to ensure aligned planning.
- Proficient analytical thinking: Able to identify planning inefficiencies, evaluate resource constraints, and differentiate between surface issues and root causes.
- Resource management expertise: Skilled in balancing team capacity across multiple projects and ensuring equitable task distribution based on skillsets and availability.
- Project planning acumen: Experienced in developing and maintaining structured project timelines, adapting to changes, and ensuring deliverables are on track.
- Organized and accountable: Known for maintaining structure and ownership in managing multiple tasks and priorities with a detail-oriented approach.
- Effective time management: Able to prioritize, schedule, and execute planning activities within tight timelines and dynamic project demands.
- Tech-savvy with planning tools: Comfortable working across tools like JIRA, SAP, and Excel-based tracking sheets to ensure data-driven decisions.
