Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Analyze and develop strategies and plans to ensure optimum procurement of goods and services.
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to ensure best prices and terms of purchase.
- Manage the purchasing process and ensure that all purchases are in compliance with company policy.
- Develop and maintain a database of preferred suppliers and vendors.
- Develop and implement procedures and systems to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement of materials.
- Monitor and review all purchase orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze market trends and forecasts to anticipate future needs for materials and services.
- Develop reports and presentations on procurement activities for senior management.
- Manage the team of procurement staff and ensure their performance.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth procurement processes.
