Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Trade Finance & Banking Instruments
- Manage issuance, amendment, and closure of Letters of Credit (LCs), SBLC, Buyers Credit etc. for import and export transactions.
- Handle the end-to-end process of Bank Guarantees (BGs) including performance, advance, and financial BGs.
- Coordinate with banks and internal teams for Fixed Deposits (FDs), EMB, SD, DD linked to BGs or other financial instruments.
- Ensure all banking instruments are structured optimally to manage risk and working capital.
2. Banking Operations & Relationship Management
- Act as the primary liaison with banks for all corporate banking activities.
- Negotiate banking limits, charges, and facilities such as CC/OD, term loans, and trade finance limits.
- Monitor fund positions across accounts and ensure effective cash flow planning.
3. Export/Import Documentation & Compliance
- Oversee the preparation and verification of documents for export shipments, including shipping bills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and bank submissions.
- Manage import payments, foreign remittances, and coordinate with freight forwarders and customs agents.
- EDPMS & IDPMS Compliance.
- Understanding of Custom Duty Computation
- Ensure compliance with FEMA, RBI guidelines, and international trade regulations.
4. Treasury & Fund Management
- Monitor daily cash flows, fund positions, and inter-account transfers.
- Ensure availability of funds for project execution, imports, and statutory obligations.
- Optimize interest costs and ensure efficient deployment of surplus funds.
5. Internal Controls & Reporting
- Maintain up-to-date records of all banking transactions and instruments.
- Prepare MIS reports on banking transactions, fund utilization, and financial instruments.
- Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and reconciliations.
Key Requirements:
- Masters degree in Commerce/Finance; CA/MBA (Finance) preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in banking operations, preferably in a manufacturing or project-based industry.
- In-depth knowledge of LCs, BGs, FDs, and trade finance operations.
- Familiarity with export-import documentation, customs procedures, and FEMA regulations.
- Strong working knowledge of banking portals, ERP systems, and Excel-based reporting.
- Handling 2-3 Direct Reportes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Inter Departmental Skills shall be highly desired
