Job Description

Primary Responsibilities: 
  • Review and analyze patient medical records for accurate code assignment
  • Ensure adherence to coding guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Learn to use medical coding software
  • Apply understanding of anatomy and physiology to interpret clinical documentation and identify applicable medical codes
  • Stay updated on industry changes and attend relevant training sessions
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of all patient information
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment).   •  Required Qualifications: 
  • Bachelors degree or masters degree, from a medical science backdrop or anything relevant Life Science or Bioscience, Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing or Medicine Allied Health
  • Good knowledge in medical terminology basics
  • Good knowledge in Anatomy physiology basics
  • Well-versed with ICD-10 guidelines and their implementation
  • Proficient in reviewing medical records and determining the accuracy and completeness of the document

    •  Preferred Qualifications: 
  • AAPC/AHIMA Certification
  • Risk Adjustment coding experience
