Job Description
We are hiring Cloud Engineer for Bangalore location.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a proactive Cloud Support Engineer to manage AWS-based infrastructure operations, ensure high availability, troubleshoot incidents, and handle routine maintenance and automation tasks in production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve AWS infrastructure and application-level issues (Level 1 and Level 2 support).
- Perform daily/weekly/monthly health checks, patching, backups, and availability reviews.
- Automate recurring operational tasks using scripting and AWS native services.
- Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging (CloudWatch, SNS, ELK, etc.).
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and change management.
- Support disaster recovery, failover testing, and performance optimization activities.
Required Technical Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, ELB, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, VPC, Route 53.
- Experience in monitoring and alerting systems (AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, Zabbix, etc.).
- Good understanding of networking concepts: Security Groups, NACLs, VPNs, Direct Connect.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools: AWS Systems Manager, Terraform (basic), or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of Linux/Windows server administration, troubleshooting OS and service-level issues.
- Basic scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, or Python) for automation and runbook execution.
- Experience with incident, change, and problem management processes based on ITIL.
- Exposure to backup/restore mechanisms using AWS Backup, S3 lifecycle policies, etc.
Preferred Certifications:
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (good to have)
- ITIL v4 Foundation (preferred)
