Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manual Quality Engineer with a strong background in Salesforce CRM to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our Salesforce applications through comprehensive manual testing. This role involves collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements, design test cases, execute tests, and report defects.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning & Design:
o Analyze requirements to create comprehensive test plans and cases for Salesforce CRM.
o Design and implement robust test frameworks and strategies for Salesforce applications.
o Identify and prepare test data.
o Participate in requirement reviews to ensure testability.
Test Execution:
o Execute manual test cases across various Salesforce clouds and custom applications.
o Perform functional, regression, integration, UAT, and performance testing.
o Document test results accurately and maintain traceability.
Defect Management:
o Identify, document, and track defects using a bug tracking system.
o Provide clear, concise, and reproducible steps for defects.
o Analyze test results, identify, and document issues for resolution.
o Collaborate with development teams for timely defect resolution.
o Verify bug fixes and conduct retesting.
Collaboration & Communication:
o Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
o Conduct code reviews and provide feedback on best practices.
o Communicate test progress, results, and risks to stakeholders.
o Participate in team meetings.
Documentation & Process Improvement:
o Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.
o Continuously improve testing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
o Maintain and update test case repositories and QA documentation.
o Stay updated with the latest Salesforce releases and features.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience:
o 6+ years of experience in manual software quality assurance.
o 5+ years of hands-on experience specifically testing Salesforce CRM applications (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, etc.).
o Solid understanding of Salesforce standard functionalities, configurations, and custom development (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components is a plus).
o Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
o Proficiency with test management tools (e.g., Zephyr, TestRail, qTest) and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
o Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps).
Preferred Qualifications:
Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Platform App Builder certification.
Experience with data migration testing in Salesforce.
Familiarity with automation testing concepts and tools (though this is a manual QA role, understanding helps).
