Job Description
Job Title: TOEFL Scorer
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Freelancing
About the Role:
We are seeking meticulous and dedicated individuals to join our team as TOEFL Scorers. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating test-takers written and spoken responses according to standardized guidelines and scoring rubrics. Comprehensive training and certification will be provided.
Post-training, your selection as a certified TOEFL Scorer will be contingent on successful completion of the certification process and meeting quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate Student Responses: Accurately assess written essays and spoken responses for the TOEFL test, adhering strictly to established scoring standards and criteria.
- Apply Standardized Rubrics: Use provided scoring rubrics to ensure fairness, consistency, and integrity in evaluating each response.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Handle test materials with the highest level of discretion, ensuring compliance with data protection and test security protocols.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in calibration sessions, receive feedback, and adapt scoring practices to maintain consistency and accuracy throughout the scoring process.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about updates to scoring guidelines and refine your evaluation approach through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelors degree (or higher) in English, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Language Proficiency: Exceptional command of the English language, including strong grammar, punctuation, and syntax skills.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to closely follow scoring guides and pay attention to nuances in test taker responses.
- Adaptability: Willingness to adjust to evolving scoring criteria and incorporate feedback to ensure high-quality and consistent evaluations.
- Technology Literacy: Comfort using standard computer applications and online scoring platforms; reliable internet access is essential.
- Availability: Capacity to commit to scheduled scoring sessions and meet established turnaround times.
Training & Certification Process:
- Selected candidates will receive comprehensive training on the TOEFL scoring criteria, test format, and evaluation procedures.
- Upon successful completion of training, candidates must pass a certification test to qualify as a certified and selected as a TOEFL Scorer.
- Ongoing support will be provided as necessary to maintain scoring excellence.

Here's What You Need:
- Shortlisting: Based on qualifications or experience.
- Training: 8-hour training program.
- Certification: 4 attempts to pass a 2-hour exam.
- Mentorship Certification: Post-certification mentorship.
- Final Selection: Based on both certifications.
Location : Remote
Compensation : 1000 Per Day (8 Hour Shift) & 500 Per Day (4 Hour Shift)
Shift: US (7PM-4AM)
