Job Description

Profile:COBOL DEVELOPER

Experience: 8+ years

Work From Home

Key Skills / Responsibilities:

Ability to understand both Business and Technical requirements
Leads or acts as a technical contributor in the design of new applications or enhancements to existing applications.
Independently performs and assists other team members in providing ongoing system maintenance, research, problem resolution, and on-call support tasks for systems.
Gain an in-depth understanding of assigned applications and integration with other systems.
Troubleshooting of multi-tier problems coordinating with other teams across the enterprise.
Work collaboratively with management, system analysts, business unit teams and other development staff to design and develop solutions.
Assist or lead in the coordination and completion of assigned projects and technology enhancement initiative while adhering to established timelines of completion and budgetary allocations
Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships
Other duties as required by the team.
Basic Qualifications:
At least 8 years of relevant mainframe COBOL, VSAM, JCL, CICL, SDF development experience
Strong Data Base experience, DB2,SQL or Oracle. With STORED PROCEDURES, SPUFI, QMF
Ability to design, develop, configure, test, and deliver complete solutions.
Strong critical thinking and fact based analysis abilities.
Effective communication habits; ability to work well with others.
Self-motivated problem solver

Additional Qualifications:

Deep understanding of Healthcare, hospitals.
Experience with any state Department of Health would be added advantage
Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban is preferred.
