Job Description
- As a Mechanical Engineer supporting Customer Order Execution and Bid Phase projects at Siemens Energy, your primary responsibility will be to perform client order and sales support for special designs and customer requirements. You will design, integrate, specify, analyze, and calculate individual compressor components to optimize cost and performance efficiency within the overall train scope. Your role will involve reviewing client specifications, resolving queries, ensuring compliance, defining product design requirements, leading engineering projects, and conducting design reviews for complex mechanical systems. You will be required to develop engineering prints and bills of material, create model assemblies using 3D modeling design software, and provide engineering support to bid management, manufacturing, supply chain management, and services. Additionally, you will serve as a technical guide during client and vendor meetings, mentor and develop other employees, and establish best practices focusing on equipment reliability, design efficiencies, and cost-out improvements. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline, possess technical proficiency in 3D modeling design software, and have 0-10 years of experience in Reciprocating Compressor design and manufacturing. Excellent communication and social skills are essential for collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams. An understanding of the oil and gas industry, specifically reciprocating compressors, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also required.
