Job Description
- As a key member at Jacobs, you will be entrusted with leading the entire Electrical Engineering activities to conduct Electrical design work in adherence to standard company procedures and other outlined methods. Your responsibilities will include ensuring timely completion of designs, requisitions, and engineering deliverables, while providing technical guidance to Electrical Engineers and Designers to meet the project requirements. You will be expected to maintain adherence to Dept./Discipline Working Instructions and Quality Systems, monitor work progress and work-hour usage, and operate within company budgets. Your role will involve preparing the Basis of Design and power distribution for the plant, as well as conducting design calculations for sizing major electrical equipment. Proficiency in ETAP calculations for Load flow, short circuit, Harmonic study, and arc flash study will be essential. Additionally, you will be guiding a team of designers in 2D / 3D electrical engineering, reviewing 3D models and layouts, and overseeing procurement activities for Electrical items. Collaboration with various stakeholders such as clients, internal disciplines, and vendors will be crucial for effective engineering management. To excel in this position, a minimum qualification of BE / B-Tech along with 12-15 years of relevant experience is required. Experience in industries such as Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, FMCG, Chemical, or Semiconductor will be advantageous. Proficiency in software tools like ETAP for electrical power system studies, Dia-Lux for lightning calculation, and AutoCAD is desirable.
