Job Description
Piping Design Engineer
Role & responsibilities:
- Knowledge of Piping design Codes and Standards such as ASME B 31.3 AND B 31.8
- Line Sizing, Thickness Calculation, Pressure drop calculation Equipment sizing, Calculation.
- Preparation of Line List, Valve List, Equipment List, Piping Material Specification.
- Pipe Routing, Equipment Modelling using Autodesk Plant 3D.
- Pipe Stress Analysis using CAESAR II and Support Engineering.
- Extraction of Piping Isometric from 3D Model and updating the Isometric for IFC.
- Creation of 2D drawing such as Piping Plan and Elevation, Equipment Layout.
- Preparation MTO, BOM from Piping 3D Models.
- Preparation of Technical Specification for Piping Components, RFQ finalization & Vendor Drawings review.
- Flexible and quick to learn global developments in EPC- Oil & Gas projects technologies and adopt.
- Continuous improvement of the design activity in terms of technical knowledge, efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Provide virtual technical support for shop floor for the orders engineered & commissioning support.
- Team handling & development.
Preferred Competencies:
- Definition drawings, 3D Equipment Modelling, Pipe Routing
- Line Sizing, Thickness Calculation, Pressure drop calculation.
- Pipe Stress Analysis and Support Engineering.
- Piping drawings Piping Isometrics, Piping Plan & Elevation, Details,
- MTOs/BOMs, NWD models, Clash checks, Vendor Drawing Review.
- Working experience with 3D Design Tools: AutoCad Plant 3D. E3D, CAESAR II.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- BE/B.Tech/ in Mechanical Engineering with 8-10 years of Oil and Gas/ Power Plant Experience.
- Strong interpersonal, responsive and leadership skills.
- Ability to guide/support team and execute project in line with client/project requirement.
- Ability to expand the competency domain, being able to take new learning challenges.
