Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled GCP Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, GCP services, and a proven track record of delivering scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud architectures leveraging GCP services (Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, etc.)
- Migrate on-premises workloads to GCP, optimizing for cost and performance.
- Manage and maintain GCP infrastructure, including resource provisioning, configuration, and monitoring.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based systems.
- Implement security best practices and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with development teams to deploy and manage cloud-native applications.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues.
- Stay up-to-date with GCP advancements and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in GCP services and architecture.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of networking, storage, and database concepts.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in managing Linux server environments
- GCP certifications (Cloud Architect, Cloud Engineer, etc.)
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.)
- Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
- Experience with machine learning and AI frameworks.
