Software Test Engineer @ Easemytrip

Job Description

Methodology Expertise : Implement and oversee software QA methodologies to optimize testing processes.

Test Documentation : Write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

Black Box Testing Execution : Perform black box and other forms of testing to validate software functionality.

Feedback on Documentation : Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical documents to provide timely feedback.

Test Case Development : Create detailed and well-structured test cases based on project requirements.

Testing Coordination : Estimate, prioritize, plan, and manage testing activities to ensure timely project execution.

Bug Tracking : Identify, document, and track bugs through rigorous testing processes, covering various testing stages.

Process Enhancement : Develop and refine testing processes for new and existing products to ensure quality.

Continuous Learning : Stay updated with the latest in test strategies, bug life cycles, and STLC processes.

Preferred candidate profile:-

• Agile/Scrum Proficiency : Possess a deep understanding of Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
• Tool Proficiency : Skilled in using software testing tools such as Postman for API testing and Fireflink.
• Effective Communication : Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
• SQL Knowledge : Experienced in using SQL for data manipulation and testing purposes.
• JIRA Expertise : Familiar with JIRA for managing projects, tasks, and issues related to software bugs.
• Team Collaboration : Able to collaborate effectively within a team environment to meet testing goals.
• Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate testing challenges.
• Detail Oriented : Attentive to details, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting of test results and issues.
• Professional Development : Committed to ongoing professional growth to keep abreast of the latest testing technologies and methodologies.
• Proactive Approach : Proactive in proposing improvements to enhance product quality and the efficiency of testing procedures.
