About the Role:
As a Content Developer at EaseMyTrip.com, you will be responsible for planning, creating, editing, and optimizing high-quality content across our digital platforms. Your focus will be on developing compelling travel-related content that informs, engages, and inspires users while aligning with SEO best practices and brand guidelines. This role blends creativity with strategic thinking and requires strong research skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of content structure across formats like blogs, web pages, app content, product descriptions, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Planning & Strategy: Collaborate with marketing, SEO, and product teams to develop content strategies aligned with business objectives and audience needs.
- Content Development: Create engaging and original content for various formats such as website pages, blogs, landing pages, destination guides, FAQs, and app content.
- SEO Integration: Research keywords and implement them organically into content to improve visibility and drive traffic through search engines.
- Travel Product Content: Write and update travel product descriptions including flights, hotels, holiday packages, buses, and trains with user-friendly and informative copy.
- Content Structuring & Formatting: Develop well-structured content that is easy to navigate, visually engaging, and mobile-optimized for improved user experience.
- Content Review & Editing: Proofread and edit existing content for accuracy, tone, grammar, and consistency with brand voice.
- Cross-Platform Adaptation: Adapt content for use across different platformsweb, mobile app, email, and social media.
- Trend Monitoring & Research: Stay updated with travel trends, user behavior, and seasonal insights to create timely and relevant content.
- Content Repository Management: Maintain a content library and ensure all assets are updated, organized, and accessible across departments.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor content performance using analytics tools and continuously improve based on engagement, traffic, and conversion data.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience: 1 to 5 years of experience in content development, digital marketing, or travel writing. Freshers with an impressive writing portfolio may also apply.
- Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Digital Media, or related fields.
- Content Development Skills: Ability to structure long-form and short-form content logically, using headers, bullets, CTAs, and visual flow.
- SEO Knowledge: Basic to intermediate knowledge of SEO tools and techniques such as keyword research, metadata writing, and on-page optimization.
- Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress), Google Docs, MS Office, and content planning tools like Trello or Notion.
- Research & Analysis: Strong ability to research travel destinations, customer behavior, and industry trends to produce fact-based content.
- Copywriting & Editing: Good command over grammar, spelling, and sentence structure with an eye for editorial polish.
- Creativity & Innovation: Capable of developing fresh ideas for travel storytelling, promotional campaigns, and SEO-friendly content pieces.
- Adaptability: Flexible with changing priorities and deadlines while maintaining consistency in tone and message.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work closely with marketing, design, SEO, and tech teams to align content with brand and product goals.
