Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Automation API Test Engineer with
strong proficiency in Python to join our team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will be
responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust API test automation frameworks,
as well as ensuring the quality and performance of complex backend systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable automated test scripts for
RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Python.
- Develop test strategies, plans, and scripts based on project requirements and technical
specifications.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to understand
system architecture and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Perform API testing including functional, regression, integration, and performance
testing.
- Implement continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI,
or Azure DevOps.
- Analyze test results, report bugs, and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain and enhance automation frameworks and related utilities.
- Contribute to improving QA processes, best practices, and team efficiency.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in API test automation using Python.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API concepts and tools such as Postman, Swagger, or
Insomnia.
- Hands-on experience with test frameworks like Pytest, unittest, or Robot Framework.
- Experience with API mocking tools and contract testing is a plus.
- Familiarity with API performance testing using tools like JMeter, Locust, or K6.
- Proficient in version control systems such as Git.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and participation in sprint ceremonies.
- Experience with logging, debugging, and error-handling best practices.
Good to Have
- Basic knowledge of SQL and working with relational/non-relational databases
