The Amazon Web Services Professional Services team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you'll work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You'll be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Role & responsibilities

- Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
- Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies
- Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
- Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, IMS, VSAM, PL/1, Assembler, REXX, etc.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in migration and modernization of mainframe applications to cloud platforms using refactoring approach
• Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot framework development and experience with RESTful web services using Spring Boot
• Proficiency in Spring framework components (Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security) and Experience with ORM frameworks like Hibernate/JPA
• Knowledge of various modernization strategies such as rehosting, replatforming, and refactoring
• AWS experience required, with proficiency in services such as EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, IAM, VPC, and CloudFormation
• Experience with build tools like Maven, Gradle and working in agile software development environments utilizing automated build-test-deploy pipelines
• Strong communication skills, ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
