Job Description
- Responsible for procurement of Consumables materials which is used on regular basis in Production and Non-Production.
- Responsible for Spares materials like Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical and Hardware, Consumables, Capital Items and MRO.
- Purchase Support Activity (Capex - Facilities)
- Sourcing in charge for purchasing of Material Handling Equipment's, Heavy duty racks and Office Interiors.
- Responsible for improving existing buying processes and systems in Indirect Materials Procurement (Capital & Operational Expenses)
- Forecasting and analysing of short term and long-term material requirements.
- Preparing and soliciting requests for quotes and proposals.
- Planning and budgeting of purchase functions, involving cost estimation, contract negotiations.
- Development of alternative local sources for imported materials which helps in cost saving.
- Developing reports on procurement and usage of materials for top management.
- Liaison with the production department to maintain optimum inventory.
- Communicate with suppliers and follow ups on arranging delivery of goods, quantity & location.
- Liaison with finance department for timely payment of bills.
- Ensuring that the highest supplier performance standards are met.
- Managing the relationships with suppliers within an assigned category of spend.
- Continuously monitoring the ability of suppliers to meet their obligations.
- Attending trade fairs and demonstrations to research new products and suppliers.
- Process all purchase orders for Plant Engineering, Electrical, Maintenance and Utility Departments.
- Sourcing for quotation from supplier for best prices.
- Negotiate price with suppliers, and coordinate delivery lead-time, quantity & location.
- Dealt with Master Purchase Agreement & Vendor Tooling Agreement.
- Reporting to Manager and Senior Analyst regarding MPA Status and activities.
