Description -
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for:
- Building and supporting custom tools that facilitate and enhance the productivity of development and QA teams
- Deploying and Working with Public Clouds such as Google Cloud
- Automating processes using Google API's with the help of scripting languages (Preferably python)
- Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the product.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to address and mitigate these problems.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 4-7 years software development experience in a fast-paced environment, working through all phases of the software development life cycle
- Must have experience in Jenkins CI/CD
- Ability to write in multiple languages including Python, Groovy, Ruby, and Bash scripting
- Deploying and managing applications with Docker Containers & Kubernetes will be a plus
- Deploying orchestration tools like Terraform will be a Plus
- Experience with system deployment & management systems (Chef/Puppet/Salt/RightScale) and Jenkins
- Development Tools - GIT(Bitbucket), Jira, Confluence, VersionOne, Artifactory, Gradle
- Experience with deploying and managing applications with cloud providers (AWS, Google Compute)
- Exposure to Agile/SCRUM methodology
- Excellent Debugging / Troubleshooting skills
