Android Aosp Developer - Peripheral Integration ( Direct Contract ) @ Kiya.ai

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Develop a kiosk-style Android app for custom AOSP devices (Rockchip, Amlogic, etc.)
• Integrate peripherals using USB, OTG, or Bluetooth with vendor SDKs.
• Handle device permissions, communication protocols (USB host, Serial, HID).
• Build and test UI optimized for non-touch interfaces (TV box/remote navigation).
• Implement auto-start, background services, and secure interaction flows.

Requirements:

• 3+ years in Android development (Kotlin/Java)
• Experience with AOSP-based hardware or Android TV Boxes
• Proficient in USB/ Bluetooth/Serial communication
• Experience integrating fingerprint, printer, camera, and card reader SDKs
• Familiar with Camera2 API, ESC/POS, barcode input, NFC protocols
• Bonus: JNI/native integration, kiosk mode, Aadhaar device integration, Android system apps/root access.
