Manager: Logistics For Pharma Formulation Company, Pune @ Veko Care

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Managing the entire Export Logistic & Import activities of the Company , along with the team

Ensuring smooth operations of the logistic department,

1. Export Operations (Pharmaceuticals / Finished Dosage Formulations)

Pre-shipment Activities:

Documentation Preparation:

• Commercial Invoice
• Packing List
• Certificate of Origin (COO)
• Bill of Lading / Air Waybill
• Insurance Certificate
• Country-specific documents (e.g., legalized docs for MENA/GCC)

3. Logistics & Dispatch:

• Book containers or air cargo based on shipment mode.
• Coordinate with CHA (Custom House Agent) for customs clearance.
• Ensure compliance with cold chain requirements, if applicable.
• Ensure on-time delivery to client/distributor.

2. Import Operations (APIs, Excipients, Machinery, etc.):

Material Sourcing & Documentation:

• Import of raw materials/APIs from countries like China, Korea etc
• Ensure vendors provide necessary documentation:
• Invoice Packing list
• COA
• MSDS
• Batch Certificate
• TDS (Technical Data Sheet)
• Import License/NOC if required (for controlled substances).

Customs Clearance:

• Coordinate with CHA for clearance under appropriate HSN codes.
• Avail exemptions if applicable under Duty Drawback, Advance License, etc.

Labeling & Storage:

• Ensure labeling compliance as per material requirement.

Knowledge Required

• Knowledge of INCOTERMS, UCPDC, and international trade finance.
• Regulatory knowledge (WHO-GMP, CDSCO, DGFT, Pharmexcil).
• Understanding of ERP and logistics platforms.
