About the Role:

Bigbasket is committed to building an inclusive and empowering work environment. We are seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to support our hearing-impaired (PWD) warehouse staff, ensuring effective communication and a seamless workflow between employees, team leads, and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide real-time Indian Sign Language (ISL) interpretation for warehouse team meetings, safety briefings, and training sessions.
  
• Facilitate smooth communication between deaf employees and hearing colleagues/supervisors.
  
• Support in onboarding and orientation for new PWD employees.
  
• Translate work instructions, safety protocols, and operational procedures into sign language.
  
• Assist HR and training teams in delivering accessible communication for performance reviews, grievance redressals, and daily work updates.
  
• Ensure confidentiality, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity in all interpretations.
  
• Observe and report any communication-related barriers and suggest improvements for inclusivity.
  

What Were Looking For:

Proficient in Indian Sign Language (ISL)
Prior experience working with deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals.
Excellent interpersonal and observation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
