SQL Developer with Power BI @ Sonata Software

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer with strong experience in Databricks and Power BI to join our data engineering and analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in SQL development, hands-on experience with Databricks for data processing, and proficiency in creating insightful dashboards using Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelines.
  
• Develop and maintain scalable data workflows using Azure Databricks.
  
• Integrate, transform, and consolidate data from various sources into data warehouses or lakes.
  
• Create, manage, and publish interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  
• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into data solutions.
  
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security in all deliverables.
  
• Troubleshoot performance issues and recommend solutions to optimize data processing and reporting performance.
  

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in SQL, including query optimization and data modeling.
  
• Hands-on experience with Databricks (preferably on Azure Databricks).
  
• Proficiency in Power BI dashboard creation, DAX, Power Query, data visualization.
  
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and tools.
  
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure).
  
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and architecture.
