Overview:
Job Title: Manual Functional Tester with Claims-General Insurance domain knowledge.
Location: Offshore (Preferable: Chennai).
Experience: Min 3 years. Max 5 years.
Reports To: Hiscox Testing Squad lead.
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual Functional Tester to join the Claims squad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and claims functionality in Merlin/IDIT system, identifying defects, and collaborating with the development team to resolve issues. The role involves working within an Agile Claim squad, utilizing tools such as Jira and Zephyr. Claims domain knowledge is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Good knowledge of General Insurance domain.
- Testing experience in Claims module including FNOL process - is preferrable.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Analyze user stories, and technical specifications to create detailed test plans and test cases.
- Develop and maintain test scripts, test data, and test environments.
- Execute manual functional tests, including regression, integration, and system testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using Jira and Zephyr.
- Perform root cause analysis of defects and work with the development team to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product owners, to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Provide regular updates on testing progress, defect status, and quality metrics.
Required Skills:
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Manual Functional Tester in General Insurance claims module including FNOL process.
- Merlin/IDIT application experience - is preferable.
- Good knowledge of General Insurance domain.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Zephyr.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and phase approach.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
