Job Description

A site engineer is responsible for the technical, organizational, and supervisory aspects of construction projects on-site. They ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications. This involves a wide range of duties, from initial planning and site preparation to managing daily operations and ensuring quality control. 

    Key responsibilities of a site engineer include:
• Planning and Design: Conducting site surveys, preparing technical drawings, and developing construction layouts.

• Project Management: Overseeing construction progress, managing resources (materials, labor, equipment), and ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.   
 
• Quality Control: Ensuring that construction work meets quality standards and specifications, and implementing quality assurance procedures.   
 
• Safety Management: Enforcing safety regulations, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.   
 
• Coordination and Communication: Liaising with various stakeholders (clients, contractors, subcontractors, other team members), coordinating work activities, and resolving technical issues.   
 
• Reporting and Documentation: Preparing site reports, maintaining records, and documenting project progress.   
 
• Cost Management: Preparing estimates for time and material costs, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.   
 
• Supervision: Supervising construction teams, delegating tasks, and providing technical guidance.
