We are looking for an experienced Android TV Developer to design, develop, and maintain Android TV applications. If you have a strong background in Android development and are eager to work on building applications for Android TV, this opportunity is for you!
The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, experience working in Agile environments, and a track record of collaborating with distributed teams on Android TV projects.
Responsibilities:
Take ownership of technical architecture, coding, and development standards.
Develop new features and enhance existing functionality based on project requirements.
Work closely with the product management team to provide accurate estimates and clarifications.
Create design artifacts and maintain accurate technical documentation.
Develop and maintain Android TV applications.
Integrate with third-party REST APIs and backend services.
Ensure compliance with Google Play Store guidelines for Android TV applications.
Debug and troubleshoot issues across various Android TV devices.
Manage the submission and publishing process for the Google Play Store.
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience in Android development.
Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
Experience working with Offline Storage, and Android TV UI components.
Familiarity with architecture patterns like MVVM, MVP, and asynchronous programming.
Experience working with RESTful APIs (JSON parsing, network communication, error handling) and offline storage.
Proficiency in Android Studio, Git, dependency management tools (Gradle), GitHub, and JIRA.
Understanding of Google Play Store submission, certification, and in-app purchases.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Good to Have:
Previous experience working on smart TV applications.
Knowledge of Firebase, or other third-party integrations.
Experience on ExoPlayer and Leanback framework.
