Job Description

As a Junior AI Medical Coder, you will support coding operations using AI-assisted tools and help ensure coding accuracy and efficiency. Key responsibilities include:

Coding & Documentation

Review clinical documentation (discharge summaries, operative reports, charts) and assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, or HCC codes
Use AI-enabled CAC (Computer-Assisted Coding) platforms like 3M, Optum, or custom NLP tools to assist with code suggestions
Validate AI-suggested codes for accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance
Manually override or adjust AI recommendations where clinical judgment is required
Conduct data quality checks to ensure code integrity

Qualifications

B.Pharm / M.Pharm / Pharm.D/ B.Sc / M.Sc Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Biochemistry
Any Medical / Paramedical Graduate (BPT, BAMS, BHMS, BDS, Nursing)
Basic understanding of ICD-10 / CPT / HCC coding systems
Exposure to NLP/CAC tools (e.g., 3M, Optum, Cerner CAC, or proprietary platforms)
Strong computer skills, especially in EMR/EHR environments
