What is the work?
- Develop and execute Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies to improve visibility across AI-powered search platforms.
- Analyze and optimize content to increase inclusion in AI-generated answers (SGE, ChatGPT, Bing Copilot, etc.).
- Identify high-potential queries and long-tail keywords that are commonly addressed by generative engines.
- Create and structure content in formats that are easily parsed and preferred by LLMs (FAQs, how-tos, data tables, concise summaries).
- Work with content, development, and SEO teams to align on-page and off-page strategies for AI optimization.
- Monitor AI search engine results and conduct comparative analysis to assess performance and identify optimization opportunities.
- Stay updated with trends in AI search behavior, schema markup, NLP techniques, and semantic SEO.
What skills and experience are we looking for?
- 3+ years of experience in SEO, digital strategy, or content optimization with at least 1 year focused on AI search trends.
- Strong understanding of how generative AI engines source, summarize, and cite web content.
- Experience with tools like Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, ChatGPT, Jasper, Clearscope, Surfer SEO, or others.
- Knowledge of schema markup, structured data, and semantic search principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience creating or optimizing content for inclusion in SGE snapshots or AI-generated answers.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and LLM behavior.
- Understanding of voice search and conversational UX.
- Background in technical SEO or content strategy.
