Job Summary:
Virtualization / Infrastructure Engineer who will be responsible for the maintenance, support and resolution of any escalated IT infrastructure issues along with a number of key technical projects handling Virtualisation platforms like Nutanix, VMware, and Microsoft alongside broad ranging, high availability applications.
Job Description:
- Experience of Configuration and support to Hypervisors and Providing 2nd line support to the computing infrastructure.
- Evaluate the stability, security, and scalability of installed Windows systems.
- Install or upgrade Windows systems and servers.
- Troubleshoot system and server errors.
- Review system error logs and user-reported issues.
- Manage the server infrastructure and assist in the provisioning of new Virtual Machines and their implementation and participate in datacenter infrastructure upgrades.
- Experience with a variety of Hypervisor infrastructure technologies, including Nutanix, VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V and other similar components.
- Commissioning and Decommissioning of servers, patch upgrades, Capacity planning and Changes on the infrastructure according to the scalability.
- Working with the core team on tight deadlines on exciting new projects and Error log checking, performance monitoring and tuning.
- AD User/Group/GPO management
- Support internal and external client server farms, storage & backups, troubleshooting to resolve issues and diagnose chronicle issues internally and for clients.
- Provide technical support to ensure a high degree of Customer Happiness through Service Level Agreement (SLA) & Process Compliance
- Work on RCA for problem tickets
- Can work on a shift basis on a rota providing 24x7 Infrastructure support for our data centres.
- Reviews and updates operational services processes daily, automation using Scripts like Power-shell or VBS and creating Baseline documents for Servers.
- Maintains operational documentation necessary to operate all systems, including execution schedules, job descriptions, flow charts and escalation procedures.

- Bachelors degree in EngineeringComputer Science
Recommended Minimum Job Requirements:
- Microsoft Windows Servers: 5 years experience
- Virtualization, VMware/Nutanix: 4 years experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Infrastructure Support
- Proficient on TCP/IP along with the process documentation
- Ability to provide technical direction and coordination to the resolver groups involved while participating in the Change Control Board and Change Control Process
- Knowledge of ITSM Ticketing tools, Servicenow or similar tools
- Demonstrable ability in managing windows server 2008/2012/2016/2019, L2.
- Proven expertise to respond to all systems alerts - error indicators, error messages, failures, and peripheral malfunctions
- Operational experience in the O365 ecosystem will be an added advantage.
