Position Summary
As a Junior Web Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress-based websites that are visually appealing, responsive, and user-focused. You will work closely with the development and marketing teams to implement new features, troubleshoot issues, and optimize website performance.
This role offers the opportunity to expand your skills in both front-end and back-end development while contributing to projects that impact our brand and business outcomes. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, creativity, and a passion for continuous learning in web technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the company website to ensure performance, security, and content relevance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into intuitive website features
- Design and implement engaging, responsive UI components and templates
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, and mobile responsiveness (Core Web Vitals compliance)
- Use frameworks like Bootstrap to ensure design consistency and efficiency
- Conduct website audits and resolve issues related to accessibility, broken links, and cross-browser compatibility
- Support backend integration in coordination with developers for seamless UI/UX
- Track website analytics and user behavior to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure adherence to data privacy, accessibility, and regulatory compliance standards
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement bug fixes and performance enhancements
- Provide support to internal teams on web-related tools and best practices
Qualifications & Experience
- 13 years of hands-on experience in web development or website management
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, and CMS platforms like WordPress
- Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or CorelDraw
- Experience with SEO, website optimization, and responsive design best practices
- Knowledge of debugging, browser developer tools, and performance testing methods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
- Effective communication skills and team collaboration abilities
