Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Python Developer with 35 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in backend development using Python, frameworks like Django or Flask, and relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL. The role also requires hands-on experience with time series analysis, forecasting (including LLM-based models), and AI/ML techniques such as image comparison, product categorization, and OCR. Familiarity with various web scraping techniques and a strong ability to work under pressure across different time zones is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Python (Django or Flask).
- Build and optimize complex database queries and schemas in MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Conduct time series analysis and implement forecasting models, incorporating seasonality, outlier detection, and LLMs when required.
- Apply AI/ML techniques for image comparison, OCR, and product categorization.
- Develop robust web scraping solutions using different methodologies (e.g., BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium, API-based extraction).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data scientists, and product managers to integrate solutions into production.
- Write clean, modular, and well-documented code; ensure best practices for performance, scalability, and security.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and deployment processes.
- Work in flexible shifts and be available during weekends for critical releases or deployment activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 35 years of experience in Python development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Django or Flask frameworks.
- Proficiency in relational databases: MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Solid understanding and practical experience in time series forecasting, including LLM-based solutions, seasonality, and outlier management.
- Good exposure to AI/ML concepts and implementation, especially in:
- Image processing / comparison
- Product categorization
- OCR (Optical Character Recognition)
- Expertise in web scraping techniques (e.g., Scrapy, BeautifulSoup, Selenium, API integrations).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and deployment environments is a plus.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and deliver results within tight timelines.
- Willingness to work across different time zones and be available during weekends if necessary.
