Role & responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Proposal Writer with a strong background in open-source technologies to join our team. This role involves crafting compelling technical proposals, writing solution overviews, performing estimations, and developing clear and concise technical content. The ideal candidate must have prior experience providing technical solutions, working closely with technical and business teams to deliver winning proposals.
Proven experience (7-15 years) as a Technical Proposal Writer or in a similar technical documentation or presales role.
- Strong exposure to open-source technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical solutions across different domains or projects.
- Strong understanding of project estimation techniques and effort calculation methods.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
- Proficiency in proposal management tools, documentation platforms, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
Preferred candidate profile
- Write and structure high-quality technical proposals, RFP responses, and solution documents for prospective and existing clients.
- Collaborate with technical architects and engineers to understand solution design and translate it into client-facing documents.
- Provide technical solutions and write solution overviews tailored to specific client requirements using open-source tools and platforms.
- Estimate project timelines, resources, and cost for proposed solutions in coordination with project management and engineering teams.
- Develop reusable technical content, templates, and assets to support the proposal development process.
- Ensure that all proposals are aligned with client needs, project goals, and organizational capabilities.
- Maintain version control and ensure timely delivery of all technical documents and proposals.
