  • In This Role, You Will: API Framework and Tool Development: Design, develop, and maintain the core framework and tools that support our API program
  • Ensure the framework is scalable, secure, and efficient to meet the needs of our growing platform
  • API Governance: Define and implement API governance standards to ensure consistency, quality, and security across all APIs
  • Develop tools and processes to automate and enforce these standards
  • Developer Portal and Experience: Build and enhance our public-facing developer portal to provide a seamless and intuitive experience for external developers
  • Create comprehensive documentation, tutorials, and guides to assist developers in effectively using our APIs
  • Creating our public facing client SDKs
  • Working on Internet scale applications, where performance, reliability and scalability, are critical design goals - not after-thoughts
  • Learning the nuts and bolts of Microservices Architecture and building robust RESTful APIs
  • Contribute to the success of others by providing mentorship and guidance Heres What You Need: The prerequisites for joining our development team are simple
  • We care more about your attitude and aptitude than the specific tools and technologies you have used in the past
  • You need to have a strong passion for software development, good API design, and must take pride in your coding
  • Strong analytical skills are essential, as well as the ability to handle complex, modular software development in a collaborative team-based environment
  • For this specific position, you will have a leg up if you also meet the following criteria: 7-9 years of overall development experience which ideally includes working with an object-oriented language (Java) Experience with using and implementing RESTful APIs with a solid understanding of OpenAPI and JSONSchema
  • Experience with Facebook s React and the Next
  • js framework would be a big plus
  • Experience with one or more of the following databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Couchbase, MongoDB, Redis or other NoSQL technologies Bachelors degree in Computer Science OR a related technical discipline
  • Equivalent experience will also be considered
  • Experience working with cloud providers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Any experience working on a public AWS platform or working with Docker containers would make a candidate stand out
