Tooling Engineer
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain tools, jigs, fixtures, and disused in automotive manufacturing processes.
Ensure tooling meets design specifications, dimensional accuracy, and quality standards for repeatable production.
Collaborate with production and design teams to optimize tooling for efficiency, safety, and ease of use.
Conduct tool trials, validation, and troubleshooting to resolve issues and improve performance.
Manage tooling lifecycle, including preventive maintenance schedules and refurbishment planning.
Support new product introductions by developing tooling solutions aligned with manufacturing capabilities.
Skills Required:
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam).
Strong knowledge of machining, fabrication, and material properties.
Experience in tool design, validation, and maintenance.
Mechanical engineering background with hands-on shop floor exposure.
Problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
